The £1 billion refurbishment of London Bridge Station has been completed. London Bridge, which opened in 1836, is one of the oldest train stations in the world and the oldest railway terminus in London that is still operational. The renovation work by Grimshaw has seen grey canopies added to the platforms, but the main purpose was to increase capacity from 50 million passengers a year to 90 million.
