Moon Hoon have completed what could be the most daring holiday villa we’ve seen for a while. The walls pink from top to toe, the Miryang Pool Villa is quite an architectural feat and with winter dragging on, seeming as if it will never end, perhaps this pink pad is the perfect retreat.
The house has sharp edges and angles which were intended to give the occupant the best view of the surroundings whilst maintaining their privacy so they feel secluded as Moon Hoon explain,
‘the height and shape of the boundary walls combined with the building have been designed to play the role of confining the outdoor space and framing the superb view…I hope that the miryang pool villa, a place which freely boasts of its splendor and contrasts in pink hues, will not fade too soon, like that of blooming pink flowers among green leaves.’
We’re not too sure whether to love or loathe this house, but it certainly stands out that’s for sure. Moon Hoon also made an appearance in this week’s Property Portal for their concrete owl house. Here at HEKKTA we love design and architecture that’s a little daring and pushes the boundaries and Moon Hoon’s recent works have certainly done that. We commend their wacky and slightly crazy take on property and architecture. Everybody has to appreciate something a little different that stands apart from a crowd.
