Skidmore, Owings & Merrill have revealed their plans for a cheesegrater lookalike building, just next door. It will be at 100 Leadenhall Street standing at 263 metres, which is 38 metres higher than it’s neighbour. It will be largely offices and shopping space and SOM have said they will learn from others mistakes so that their building does not overshadow – or produce a solar glare.

The new plans for the £108 million RCA campus designed by Herzog & de Meuron have been revealed. The campus, right on our doorstep in Battersea, is a 15,000-square-metre development in addition to it’s main campus in Kensington and is one of a few projects the architecture firm are working on in the area, such as the new Chelsea stadium.

New York City’s NoMad district is set to get a new 152 metre skyscraper designed by NY firm Morris Adjmi Architects. The building was designed to combine luxury with its more historic surroundings, such as the Flatiron Building. The six columns that cross at the top were designed to imitate a cathedral. The tower is set to be completed in 2019 and units are on sale now.
